WoW Cataclysm Classic expansion approved in China
The Burning Crusade is finally ready to take on China. After initially being rejected back in the month of November NetEase is announcing that the Chinese General Administration of Press and Publication has granted its request to translate the first WoW Cataclysm Classic expansion.
The Burning Crusade has escaped a dispute between regulators without injury.
The last year's denial from the game one aspect of the GAPP clampdown on WoW Cataclysm Classic 's local operator. The agency that regulates the game declared that NetEase operated the massively multiplayer online role-playing game without the proper approvals within the country due to "gross violations" of local laws.
In the end, GAPP officials have ordered NetEase to cease charging players for the game in China and to stop accepting new registrations. NetEase hasn't said the other issues it has with GAPP are resolved, or when it will return to registrations and regular charging procedures.
The time was when Roth Capital Partners analyst Adam Krejcik blamed the revocation due to a conflict between the GAPP as well as the Chinese Ministry of Culture, which has been increasing clamping down the online game. "These people are basically caught in the middle of this conflict of power," Krejcik said of NetEase.
